Steak with red wine reduction

A delicious steak recipe enhanced with a rich red wine reduction sauce, perfect for a special dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
  5. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in the red wine and bring to a boil, scraping the bottom of the skillet.
  7. Reduce the wine by half, then stir in the butter and rosemary.
  8. Serve the steaks topped with the red wine reduction sauce.
