Spicy Korean gochujang meatballs

Delicious and spicy meatballs made with gochujang, a Korean chili paste, perfect for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, gochujang, green onions, garlic, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or over rice.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spice level.
  • These meatballs can be frozen before baking for later use.
  • Serve with a side of kimchi for an authentic Korean experience.
