Roasted Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze and almonds

A delicious and healthy side dish featuring roasted Brussels sprouts drizzled with a sweet balsamic glaze and topped with crunchy almonds.

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and tender.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  6. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the roasted Brussels sprouts and toss to coat.
  7. Top with sliced almonds before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add minced garlic to the Brussels sprouts before roasting.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less honey according to your taste.
