Paneer tikka

Paneer tikka is a popular Indian appetizer made with marinated paneer cubes grilled to perfection.

  • 250g Paneer
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp Tandoori Masala
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Bell Pepper, cut into cubes
  • 1 Onion, cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, tandoori masala, red chili powder, lemon juice, oil, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Cut the paneer into cubes and add them to the marinade. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated paneer, bell pepper, and onion onto skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally until the paneer is golden and slightly charred.
  6. Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more red chili powder.
  • You can use vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms for variation.
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
