A delicious and healthy dessert that combines the sweetness of dates with the rich flavors of chocolate and nuts, reminiscent of a Snickers bar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, blend the pitted dates until they form a sticky paste.
  2. Add the peanut butter and sea salt, and blend until well combined.
  3. Fold in the unsalted peanuts.
  4. Press the mixture into a lined baking dish to form an even layer.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a microwave or double boiler.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the date mixture and spread evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
  8. Once set, cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Feel free to substitute almond butter for peanut butter if desired.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top of the chocolate before it sets.
